Theresa’s Way Forward is a scholarship foundation that closes the remaining financial gap for eligible first-generation college students attending Mattawan Consolidated School. After the student receives loans and grants, there are many more unforseen costs that are incurred. Theresa’s Way Forward ensures that these costs are never a barrier for these students to obtain a higher education and a brighter future.

Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Theresa’s Way Forward ensures that financial barriers don’t restrict our (MCS) students with extraordinary potential from attaining a higher education. We help remove those barriers so students can pursue college, create economic mobility, and break the cycle.

• Our students participate in Mattawan High School’s Level Up Program that prepares them for their post-secondary path.

• Our Level Up students have an average GPA of 3.6.

• Many of our Level Up students are dual enrolled with Kalamazoo Valley Community College and/or take honors and AP classes.
